Mia was born to be a singer and recording artist. She started singing before she could talk and has always known that music would be her life. With a voice, personality and charisma that have captivated millions throughout Sweden and Europe, Mia is destined to be an international star. She can caress you with a tender ballad and then knock you off your feet with a smokin’ rock song. Many comparisons have been made to other ballad singers or rock singers, but Mia is a unique in that she does both extremely well.
Mia has performed for millions of people and appeared on many Television shows in Sweden and the rest of Europe.
Through the years she has worked as a session vocalist and worked with various producers in Sweden and the rest of the world. In addition to her work in the music industry she has also been a fashion model, appeared in music videos and worked as a master of ceremonies and host for numerous events and productions
From 1998–2001 Mia (Whippy) was the front figure for the group, REDNEX. Her time with that group was tremendously successful. Their single, “SPIRIT OF THE HAWK” was number 1 on the sales list in Germany for 9 weeks, in Austria for 6 weeks and in Switzerland for 3 weeks. Mia toured extensively with REDNEX in these countries and Sweden, where the single achieved gold status.
From January – April 2003, Mia was one of the participants on Fame Factory, which could be compared to the Pop Idol/Pop Stars reality shows. Mia was one of the finalists.
Her single, SUPERSTAR, was released late in 2003 and went directly into the Swedish charts, reaching #4.
In the autumn of 2003 she was asked to sing the official song (Gul &Blå) for the Swedish National Women’s Soccer Team. The record reached number 8 on the sales list and was voted to “Svensktoppen”- a Swedish version of Top of the Pops.
